When Dead & Company formed, it was like hearing that Santa Claus was not only real, but he’d teamed up with the Sasquatch to save kittens. It was exciting, almost unbelievable news.
First, three Grateful Dead members reunited for a single concert! Then, the concert turned into a summer tour! Now, another tour is starting, complete with two nights in Boulder! There are even whispers that new songs could be on the horizon!
The Deadheads are rising, and their numbers are growing.
So, to celebrate one of the greatest bands of all time, Karing Kind has teamed with Fox Theatre and Boulder Theater for a weekend of incredible concerts too good to be missed.
And this year, we’re capping it all off by sponsoring the inaugural pre-Dead & Company street festival – Shakedown Street on The Hill – complete with a complimentary 420 and alcohol friendly Limo Party Bus!
Here’s a quick breakdown of events to help you get the most out of your Dead & Co. Weekend.
Pre-Dead Events
(Wed, Jun 7) Easy Star All-Stars w/ The Late Ones + The Elovaters
The Easy Star All-Stars dedicated fan base stretches around the world. They have toured in over 30 countries on 6 continents, bringing together fans of reggae, classic rock, dub and indie rock.

(Thu, Jun 8) The Marcus King Band + Tom Hamilton’s American Babies
The 20 year old musical phenom Marcus King created one of the nation’s most sought after live acts when he formed The Marcus King Band. The band’s sound – self-described as “soul-influenced psychedelic southern rock” – is sure to get your weekend started off right.

(Fri, Jun 9) White Denim w/ A Shadow of Jaguar
Join us at the Fox Friday night for a post-Dead & Company late night party! White Denim has been seen on Jimmy Kimmel, Letterman, and Conan, and received rave reviews from Rolling Stone, SPIN, and more. Their “high heat, high energy, good times” rock is the perfect way to keep the night going after catching Dead & Company at Folsom Field.

(Sat, Jun 10) Dopapod
Not done Deading yet? Join us at the Fox for one more post-Dead & Company late night party! When Dopapod isn’t performing at Bonnaroo or earning praise from Rolling Stone, they’re melting various faces with an impressive range and distinct, genre-defying sound.

(Fri, Jun 9th & Sat, Jun 10th) Dead & Company
Dead & Company kick off their 2017 Summer Tour in Las Vegas on May 27th. And, original Deadheads and new fans across the country are gearing up for one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. It’s not too late to grab tickets.

(Sat, Jun 10) Shakedown Street on The Hill
Is there such a thing as too much Grateful Dead. No. The answer is no. That’s why Karing Kind is sponsoring the inaugural pre-Dead & Co. street festival featuring world-renowned Grateful Dead tribute band Shakedown Street.
From noon – 7pm on Saturday, June 10th, stop by The Hill in Boulder (or catch the free Limo Party Bus from Karing Kind) for live music, vendors, and a 21+ Craft Beer and Spirits Garden.

Park & Ride the Karing Kind Limo Party Bus!
In addition to co-sponsoring the festival, Karing Kind is providing a complimentary, 420 friendly Limo Party Bus (for adults only).
The service runs between Karing Kind and Shakedown Street on The Hill, with stops at Folsom Field after 5:00pm (doors open) for the Dead & Company show.

Just stop by Karing Kind in North Boulder Saturday afternoon when you want to head to The Hill. Then, when you’re ready to head back – or if you’re seeing Dead & Company at Folsom Field – you can catch the Limo Party Bus at 13th and College (in front of the 7-Eleven).
Just sit back, relax, and enjoy your Dead & Co. Weekend.

- While the festival is all-ages, the Limo Party Bus service is open to adults only!
Please arrange transportation home if you take the Limo Party Bus to Folsom Field for the Dead & Company show. Our complimentary shuttle stops running at 6:00pm!
